VIDEO: Introducing SoSo & 2019 Year in Review!
Something Something had a great year in 2019!. Looking back, we got media attention in outlets such as Radio NZ, NZ Herald, The Spinoff, Radio Active and elsewhere. We staged 12 x live events, some being mini-festivals or club nights. Many of these events sold out. Within these events, the club created 55 x live performance opportunities for student bands/artists, with 42 different student acts performing. Numerous other students involved or engaged in the club through providing technical support and/or promotion, marketing and event logistics.
The club also facilitated multiple music industry networking opportunities and connections; Going Local seminars & showcases, Exposure industry networking sessions, NZ Music Month Quiz and others. They also created content, including Live performance and interview videos of student work created for Something Something Youtube.
Thanks everyone who was involved, came to the events or participated in some way. Music in Wellington is thriving, and Something Something is here to document it. We are a student-led music industry organisation providing a platform for emerging artists from the grassroots of Wellington’s music scene.
