PEYTON MORETE

Peyton is an emerging singer-songwriter living on the Kapiti Coast. She has been performing locally in music events since she was nine years old and performing regularly for the last eight years around the greater Wellington region. Her sound is ever changing as she draws from the multiple genres that inspire her but continues to include elements of soul, powerfulness and contemporary with her big vocals. Peyton not only writes and composes her own songs but also records, produces and mixes her own tracks in her own home set up. She also is interested in the film side of the music industry and recently released her second music video which is the first that she completely created, filmed and edited herself.

Over the years she has racked up a number of awards including Smokefree Rockquest Regional (numerous times) and Kapiti’s Champion of Change. This song was recorded, produced and mixed by Lee Prebble (Surgery Studio) and Barnaby Weir (Black Seeds). She performed on Māori Television in October 2020 as a finalist on Korihi representing the Wellington region.
