Tips to Surviving a Night Out - Written by an Introvert

  1. Don’t go out. Stay home. Stay warm. Who needs the noisy club life when you have a warm cup of choc and fluffy socks?

  2. On the odd occasion where every excuse you’ve got in the book hasn’t worked and you have still been dragged out by your mates, wear comfortable shoes. Nobody is looking at your feet so who cares if they are fancy or not? You’re going to have sore feet by the end of the night anyway so might as well make it less painful by wearing your comfiest sneakers.

  3. Stick with your friends. No matter where you go, stick to your friends. If you make any new friends thanks to your liquid social battery - just remember you won’t see them again. Ever.

  4. Know what time is appropriate to leave. One hour after arriving is usually questioned - one and a half? Nobody will care.

  5. Let your friends know you got home safe. You went out, you had fun and now you are home. Tell them thanks for the night and that you’d love to do it again - then never reply.

Well done, you survived the night.
